Let me first start off by saying I love boots. So it was my pleasure to receive a pair of Paul Evans “The Dean” Chelsea Boot.
Chelsea boots have a history dating back to the mid 1800’s and since then, have seen countless revisions in their look and functionality. Today, they’ve become very popular due to their simplistic and classic look. This was my third pair of Chelsea boots and these have easily become my favorite.
When I say The Dean Chelsea Boot is beautiful pair of shoes, that is an understatement. They are a stunning and bold oxblood color and pair well with a variety of my suits as well as a nice pair of jeans. In general, I like Chelsea boots because of the fact that they are so versatile and can be dressed up or down. These pair of boots are no exception and they also add a bit of style to whatever you choose to pair them with.
The Dean Chelsea Boots are made of full-grain Italian calfskin leather with a matching closed-channel leather sole. They have a black interior leather lining and the outside is painted by hand. The boots are literally a piece of art!
Chelsea boots also need to fit as best as possible to your feet since they don’t have laces or straps to keep them in place. The sizing information on the Paul Evans website is very helpful and I was happy to find that these boots fit my feet like a glove when they arrived.
Most importantly though, they are comfortable. I’ve never been one to sacrifice style for comfort, as I think they should go hand in hand. These boots not only look good on my feet, but they are very comfortable to wear. I’ve worn them for 8 plus hours throughout the course of my day from the office to happy hour and they’ve felt great on my feet. I’ve also gotten plenty of compliments on them as well It’s one thing to hear friends and colleagues give compliments, but I often get complete strangers complimenting me on them as well.
I would definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a stylish boot that can be worn with a suit or casual attire.
