Mykonos is known all over the world as a beautiful, vibrant summer destination for travelers and jet setters alike. The island boast gorgeous beaches, delicious restaurants and beautiful landscape. Mykonos also has a very competitive beach club scene, looking to impress visitors with everything you can want or need in the daytime, as well as, at night.
Enter the luxury beach club SantAnna Mykonos. Founded in 2017, they are located on the southern coast on chic Paraga Beach. Entry to SantAnna is free and when I first arrived, the first thing I thought was this place is massive. With a fully serviced poolside area that covers 57,000 square feet and 28,000 square feet of beach side cabanas and lounges, it felt more like a complex or a resort than a beach club. The first thing you notice upon entry is the enormous, winding saltwater pool in the middle of the complex. At 28,000 square feet and holding 222,000 gallons water, it’s the largest in Europe!
Food
I arrived with my appetite in tow so the first thing I did was check out the food options. SantAnna has two restaurants, the SantAnna restaurant and the sushi bar. The menu at the restaurant has a wide assortment of Mediterranean and international seafood dishes, succulent meat dishes, vegetable options, and a wide variety of innovative, regionally-inspired dishes. They locally source their ingredients and offer gluten/dairy free, vegan, and vegetarian options. There’s literally something for everyone.
There also seems to be focus on interactive menus and table-side preparation. I was extremely impressed with the waiter’s skill in preparing my fresh sea bass as I watched. If you really want to delight your taste buds, I would recommend the lobster ravioli as a starter, as the pasta is made fresh daily. Pair your meal with one of you favorite wines and the food is reason enough alone to come to SantAnna.
Pool and Beach
After a great meal, I was left thinking, “what should I do now?”. The reality is, there is a LOT you can do at SantaAnna. They offer visitors a wide variety of options that enable them to curate their own experience while there. While most beach clubs have a reputation as a party environment, SantAnna gives you to the option to have a laid back experience or a more lively party vibe if you choose.
One option afforded to guests is relaxing poolside in styles beds and deluxe cabanas. Here you can order food, shisha, drinks, or whatever else you may need. SantAnna also offers higher end “VIP Islands”. These are sectioned off floating areas of the pool where you can lounge and get bottle service or anything else you desire. Owner Dimitris Christoforidi says that “The biggest issue travelers to Mykonos would tell me about was their need for a beach club where they had privacy but could also be part of the scene.” As a result, SantAnna constructed underground rooms underneath the swimming pool that are accessible via the VIP islands. The cabins have a shower and lounge area. The Royal Island” not only boasts a bed, shower, and bathroom, but also an underwater window that faces the swimming pool.
SantAnna has the luxury of being located on one of the calmest bays on the island, meaning the sandy beach is calm and pristine. Guests have the option of grabbing a daybed or cabana along the beautiful turquoise water if they choose as well. There is also a new cigar and shisha lounge, which has a wide variety of shisha flavors as well as Cuban and Dominican cigars.
You will find a top rated, renowed DJ spinning the music, playing more chilled music in the daytime and more uptempo tunes as the sun sets and into the night. In addition to hosting a stellar lineup of local and international DJs on a daily basis, the luxury beach club also hosts live shows from some of your favorite artists from all genres.
Other Amenities
As if the beach and pool weren’t enough, SantAnna offers a variety of other services. If you’re looking to further pamper yourself, there is a spa located beneath the swimming pool where you can select from a variety of spa treatments including full body treatments and multis-sensory workouts. They also offer beauty services where you will find services such as manicures, pedicures, facials, hair treatments, eyelashes and more! The luxury beach club also offers a wellness program where guests can practice pilates, yoga and take fitness classes. There are also aqua fitness and personal training sessions available by appointment. One this is for sure, you will certainly leave feeling rested and rejuvenated.
With SantAnna being a luxury beach club, you also have bespoke concierge services at your disposal. They offer islands tours, private transportation, helicopter services, private water taxis, private security and pretty much anything else a guest may desire.
